Accessibility Statement

1. Our Commitment

EduMotion Inc. DBA Rotara SQ ("Rotara SQ," "we," "us") is committed to making Rotara SQ usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement covers our public website at www.rotarasq.com and the Rotara SQ application, the signed-in area of that same site.

Rotara SQ is master scheduling and compliance software for school district expanded learning departments and after-school program providers. The districts we serve have their own legal duty to provide accessible technology, and we design Rotara SQ so they can meet it.

Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We also design toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA where practical.

Effective date: October 9, 2026

2. Standards and Laws We Follow

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This is the technical standard we build and test against.
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title II. The U.S. Department of Justice rule for state and local governments, including public school districts, adopts WCAG 2.1 Level AA for their websites and apps, including services provided by contractors on their behalf. We build Rotara SQ to that standard so districts can use it with confidence.
  • ADA Title III, which applies to businesses open to the public.
  • Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, the federal accessibility standard for information and communication technology, which incorporates WCAG.
  • California law, including the Unruh Civil Rights Act, Government Code Section 11135 (accessibility in state-funded programs), and Government Code Section 7405 (Section 508 standards for state entities and their contractors).

3. Accessibility Features

Rotara SQ is designed to include:

  • Full keyboard use. Every feature, including building and editing schedules, works without a mouse. Anything you can drag on the schedule grid can also be placed with the keyboard or through a form.
  • Screen reader support. Pages use proper headings, labels, and landmarks, and are tested with common screen readers. The schedule grid is also available as a list view that reads in a logical order.
  • Not color alone. Conflict and compliance warnings use text and icons, not only red, yellow, or green.
  • Readable contrast. Text and controls meet WCAG contrast ratios in both light and dark modes.
  • Resizing and zoom. Pages work at 200% zoom and on small screens without losing content.
  • Clear forms and errors. Every field has a visible label, and errors explain what to fix.
  • Visible focus. You can always see which item is selected when using the keyboard.
  • Accessible exports. Schedules and reports can be downloaded as CSV files that work with screen readers and spreadsheet software.

4. Known Limitations

We work to find and fix barriers, and we list the known ones here so you can plan around them. No barriers have been identified in our testing to date; this table will be updated whenever a known limitation is confirmed by an accessibility review.

None currently identified.

Some content may come from districts or providers, such as uploaded PDFs or documents. We encourage them to upload accessible files, and we will help convert a file on request.

If you run into a barrier not listed here, please tell us (Section 6).

5. For School Districts and Agencies

We know accessibility is part of your procurement review. On request we provide:

  • An Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) based on the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT), showing how Rotara SQ meets each WCAG 2.1 Level AA criterion and Section 508.
  • Contract language committing us to maintain WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance and to fix reported barriers on an agreed timeline.
  • Support for your accommodation process, including alternative formats of schedules and reports for staff, families, or partners who need them.

To request these, email info@rotarasq.com with the subject line "Accessibility Documentation."

6. Feedback and Alternative Access

If you have trouble using any part of Rotara SQ, or need information in another format, contact us:

Please tell us the page or feature, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser, or assistive technology you use, if you know it.

We will acknowledge your message within 2 business days. Within 10 business days, we will either fix the problem or give you the information or service another way, such as an emailed schedule, a phone walkthrough, or a staff member completing the task on your behalf. There is never a charge for an accessibility request.

7. How We Test and Maintain Accessibility

  • We test new features with automated tools and by hand, using only a keyboard and with screen readers, before release.
  • We have an outside accessibility review of Rotara SQ at least once a year and update our ACR afterward.
  • We train our team on accessible design and writing.
  • We review this statement at least once a year and whenever we make major changes.
